Conditions of booking

A booking is made when we confirm your dates and room type in writing and the deposit has been received. The person making the booking must be 18 or over and is responsible for the whole party.

You book a room type. The physical room is allocated by us on arrival; specific room numbers cannot be guaranteed.

A non-refundable deposit equal to the first night secures the booking.

Sources differ: one states the balance is due 30 days before arrival, another on arrival after check-in. Under review.

A 24-hour grace period after booking. Thereafter the property will attempt to re-let; where successful a refund is made in proportion, less a £50 administration fee.

Cancellations must be made by telephone to 01736 351648 and confirmed by email to doug@higherfaugan.co.uk. Any modification fee is subject to owner confirmation and will be stated to you before a change is made.

We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation. Cornwall is a long way from most of the country, and plans change.

Check in from 15:00. Check out by 11:00. Latest arrival is 21:00 unless arranged in advance with us.

No smoking indoors. A designated outdoor smoking deck is provided.

Pets are not accepted. Occupancy is limited to the number of guests stated on the booking.

Guests are responsible for damage or loss caused during their stay. The grounds and the house are private to guests; please respect the quiet of the other six parties.

We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence and for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not accept liability for loss or damage to guests' property except where caused by our negligence, nor for events outside our reasonable control.

These conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
