Finding us on Chywoone Hill
Higher Faugan stands above Newlyn on Chywoone Hill. There is free parking on site, off the road, behind the gates.
Important — please read before you set off
Do not follow satellite navigation into Gurnick Road
Some satellite navigation systems and mapping apps route Higher Faugan via Gurnick Road, which is unsuitable and will not bring you to our entrance. Stay on Chywoone Hill and continue uphill out of Newlyn until you reach our gates and sign on the right. If in doubt, stop and call 01736 351648 — we would far rather talk you in than have you reverse down a lane.
By road
Driving to Newlyn

Follow the A30 all the way to Penzance — it is the last road, and it ends near us.

At Penzance, take the seafront road (A30 then Newlyn Coombe) along Mount's Bay towards Newlyn.

In Newlyn, turn up Chywoone Hill and continue climbing out of the village.

Higher Faugan's entrance is on the right as you near the top of the hill. Turn in through the gates; parking is on site and free.

Train, coach and air

- Penzance is the end of the Great Western main line, including the Night Riviera sleeper from London Paddington. Penzance station is roughly 1.5 miles away; a taxi takes under 10 minutes.
- Bus
- Regular local buses run between Penzance and Newlyn, stopping at the foot of Chywoone Hill.
- Coach
- National Express coaches serve Penzance from London and the Midlands.
- Air
- Land's End Airport (Isles of Scilly flights) is about 20 minutes; Newquay Cornwall Airport about 1 hour 15 minutes.
