We collect the minimum needed to answer your enquiry and look after your stay. We do not sell data, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
Who we are

What we collect
- Enquiry and availability forms: your name, email address, telephone number, dates, party size and any notes you send us.
- Bookings: the above plus arrival details and payment confirmation. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
- Website use: basic technical logs needed to serve and secure the site.
Why we hold it
- To answer your enquiry — our legitimate interest in responding to you, and your consent when you submit a form.
- To perform the accommodation contract you enter with us.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Booking and payment records are kept for seven years, as tax law requires.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent. Write to doug@higherfaugan.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
