St Michael's Mount
The island castle at Marazion, reached on foot across the causeway at low tide.

You can see the Mount from the Higher Faugan gardens on a clear day. Up close it is a medieval church, a castle and a sub-tropical garden clinging to a granite island in Mount's Bay.
Walk the causeway at low tide and take the boat back at high — check the tide tables before you set out, and book castle entry ahead in summer.
